Prior to initial authorisation a teacher will:
1. Have their WWCC number “cleared” by Singleton Evangelical church.
2. Read the SEC Code of Conduct for Working with Children and Youth.
3. Complete the Safe Ministry Leader Training Module.
4. Meet with the Church SRE Co-ordinator to read & understand the SRE Teacher Handbook, which includes, amongst other things, an awareness of the Department of Education’s code of conduct, a knowledge of the authorised curriculum and the scope and sequence, and delivery of the curriculum with sensitivity and in an age appropriate manner.
To remain an authorised SRE teacher:
Ongoing training is provided which includes feedback from teachers, classroom observation, and supervisor feedback. The results from this regular training are implemented immediately to help the SRE teacher grow in their gifts and abilities as an SRE teacher in a Public School.
To renew authorisation a teacher will:
